I was wondering if you could answer something for me...What effect is it that you used around the wings? is it a brush or a filter of some sort (a blur)? I only ask because I really like the effect it gives but am not sure how it was done. Any help would be great.
The glowy effect around the wings is done by a radial blur. Yes, radial blur. What I did was... I made everything, Byakuya, the wings, the sword, and the ground - all with crisp shapes. I flattened and duplicated the layer, and radial blurred the top layer and set it to overlay. I do a lot of this, sometimes several layers of different blurs and settings to see what looks good. After that, I brush away the blurry parts I don't want or to trim around it to make it more fitting. It's really all about experimenting; there's no set way on how to do these kind of effects. XD Hope that helped. Sorry if I don't really make sense though... >.>
